Christienne de Tournay


Chrise brings over 25 years of marketing, communications, design and project management experience in education, sustainability and product design. She was Program Director of Dominican University’s Sustainable Business Practices Certificate program, where she developed innovative curriculum inspired by the University’s seminal Green MBA program, and is the former Executive Director of the not-for-profit Ecomom Alliance, focused on sustainability education and outreach for women and families. Chrise works with a variety of municipalities and private entities, educating and consulting on sustainable practices and zero waste policies as a certified Zero Waste Associate through Zero Waste USA. She currently serves as Chair of the City of Berkeley’s Zero Waste Commission. Chrise is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and the Sorbonne in Paris, France, earning a B.A. in Humanities: dual-emphasis in French Language and Studio Art. She also holds a certificate in Sustainable Business Practices from Dominican University of California.
